Make a scrapbook or journal of your holiday

Having your children write a summer journal or diary/scrapbook lets them capture their moments in time–in their own words, through their eyes. It doesn’t have to me a complex, lengthy piece of work. You can start with a sentence a day and a simple drawing. As they get older, their writing will evolve. They key is to make the journal part of their daily routine, a five-to-10 minute writing exercise, with no pressure, just enjoyment. You may even want to start your own summer journal! If you use a scrap book you can attach photos, postcards, flowers, pictures, shells…image
